This event celebrates legendary captains who wore the armband with strength and purpose, leading their clubs and national teams with inspiration. In this guide, we’ll show you how to make the most of the event and claim the best rewards for your squad.

Iniesta

Unlocks on August 28, 2025.

Andres Iniesta’s captaincy was marked by leading by example, not vocal commands. His humility, unselfishness, and exceptional talent epitomized Barcelona’s values. He quietly dictated play with tactical brilliance, inspiring teammates through his consistent high performance and calm demeanor.

The skill games and matches work the same way as in Totti chapter. The only changes are in the quest objectives and the rewards. In week 2, you will also receive fewer shards (25) compared to week 1 (50).

Unlocks on September 4, 2025.

Giorgio Chiellini embodied fierce leadership and warrior spirit, commanding defenses with voice and presence. His aggression, resilience, and calming influence defined his captaincy, culminating in guiding Italy to UEFA EURO 2020 glory.

The skill games and matches work the same way as in Iniesta chapter. The only changes are in the quest objectives and the rewards.

Dunga

Unlocks on September 11, 2025.

Dunga captained with authority, discipline, and resilience. Renowned for his leadership in Brazil’s 1994 World Cup triumph, he embodied grit, responsibility, and tactical intelligence. His stern presence unified teammates, demanding focus and determination, making him a symbol of Brazilian leadership.

Unlike other Captains chapters, there are no skill games in this chapter. Instead, you’ll be playing matches to earn Captains Tokens, Dunga Armband and Dunga Logo.

There are also milestones rewards for completing matches in this chapter.

Choose one of the three legendary Captains using Captains Tokens, with each option costing 1,500 Tokens. You can only select once, so make sure to pick wisely!

Tip: Wait until the 4th week of the event to choose your captain, since all Captains will have received their Live OVR upgrades by then. Keep an eye on the upgrades and pick the captain with the highest OVR.

When you reach the end of the path, you can exchange your Live OVR Player (Totti, Iniesta, or Chiellini) for one of the other two. This exchange costs 3,000 Captain Tokens.

Great Armband Collector

Collect all the Captains armbands in the previous chapters of each captain to earn a 108-111 OVR Captains Player (untradable). You can also choose to acquire these armbands directly with Captains Tokens. Each armband costs 1,000 Captains Tokens.

Go to the Exchange menu and trade players for a Captains Player and Kit.

Captains Star Pass

Progress through Captains Star Pass by earning Star Pass Credits from skill games, daily tasks, and Division Rivals. The final reward is a 110 OVR CM Hamsik (Rank 4).

You can also get 50 Captains Shards from the free Star Pass, plus an extra 150 Captains Shards if you buy the Premium Star Pass.

Captains Math

To help you plan your grind, here’s a breakdown of all the possible Captains Shards you can earn throughout the event. The table lists where the shards come from, how many you can collect daily or weekly, and the total amount available.

This should give you a clear picture of how close you can get to the 4000 Shards needed for a Greatest Captain.

*You can earn more Captains Shards from Gems Packs, Exchanges, Extra Time, and the Market.

Based on the shard sources above, free-to-play players can expect around 1,700 Captains Shards at minimum. This number is calculated using the lowest possible player rewards.

If you’re lucky enough to pull higher OVR players, you can exchange them for more shards and push the total higher. However, reaching 4,000 Shards for a guaranteed Greatest Captain is still very difficult without spending on Gems Packs, Exchanges, Extra Time, or the Market.
