FIFA Mobile 18 Pre-Season Guide, Tips Tricks & Players List

Like the previous season, this Pre-Season Event is the last event on FIFA Mobile 18 before the season reset in November. In addition to regular rewards, in this Pre-Season event you can also get rewards that will carry over to the next season (known as Now & Later Items).

Pre-Season Guide

Designed with the space theme, this Pre-Season is divided into 2 Events :

• Pre-Season
• Star Travel

Pre-Season event is only used to claim Now & Later rewards (Packs and Players), whereas Star Travel is the place where we will collect all the tokens needed to claim the rewards in these events.

There are 3 Chapters at Star Travel Event :

• Star Fuel
• Star Map
• Star Forge

First, you must collect Star Fuel that can be obtained by playing skill games, VSA matches and watching ads on Star Fuel Chapter (refresh every 8 hours).

After you collected Star Fuel, you can exchange it in the Star Map Chapter.

Rewards that you can obtain on the Star Map Chapter :

• Coins
• XPs
• Skill Boosts
• Rank-Up Tokens
• Cosmic Players (hidden)
• Pre-Season Tokens (used to claim Now & Later Items in Pre-Season event)
• Moon Dust
• Star Power
• Ship Upgrade Points (used to upgrade Star Fuel rewards)

All you need to know about the Star Map :

• Map will reset on every refresh
• Map sectors (nodes) are random
• Map requires 1 star fuel to open the whole map for every refresh
• Each sector requires 1 star fuel to clam
• Each sector will be activated  after claiming the previous sector
• There’s a missing astronaut token (hidden) on every refresh which u can use to claim a pack which contains 5 rank up tokens and a Cosmic player.

And in the 3rd Chapter (Star Forge), you can exchange Moon Dust and Star Power points from Star Map with Star Players (range from 85 to 98 OVRs). IMO, these Star Players are very useful for rank up purposes.

Pre-Season Tips & Tricks

Try to upgrade the ship as soon as possible

First, you should try to get all of the Ship Upgrade points from the star map on every refresh because these points will enable you to quickly unlock enough fuel to complete the whole map. The Rewards on Star Map are randomly generated, so you’ll probably get more or less Ship Upgrade in different refresh.

Ship Upgrades are used on the first chapter. Each upgrade requires 50 ship upgrade points and they are independent so they can be completed in any order.

50 points allows you to double the fuel earned from Skill Game 1 from 3 to 6. Another 50 gives you a chance at 2 star fuel per repeatable and another 50 will increase star fuel available from the VSA aswell. (Check in the table above for detail rewards after upgrade).

The most valuable one is definitely the VSA upgrade, which grants 9 more fuel per reset (if you can win 3x vsa matches).

So, your top priority in the first week of the event is to complete all of these 3 Ship Upgrades, especially the VSA one.

After all of these 3 Ship Upgrades completed (150 points), we don’t need ship upgrade points anymore, so use the Star Fuels on the other offers.

Ship Upgrade points will be irrelevant after you finish the 3 upgrades. It’s definitely not worth it to grind that and trade it in for preseason tokens (4th offer). After VSA upgrade, Ship Upgrade point should be de-prioritized from the Star Map.

Maximize Win on VSA Matches

Win 3x VSA matches on every refresh is very important, because you can obtain far more Star Fuel from these VSA matches than from the Skill Games or watching ads.

Use a combination of bronze and master players to create an overpowered (OP) squad. More on this you can check here.

Moon Dust, Star Power and Pre-Season tokens are the most profitable sectors for Now And Later items

If your main aim is to get the best rewards that will carry over to the next season, then in the Star Map whenever possible go for Moon Dust, Star Power and Pre-Season tokens.

You can obtain Moon Dust and Star Power on Star Map, and for Pre-Season tokens you can obtain it from Star Map as well as from Star Forge.

Moon Dust and Star Power are the currency to redeem Star players as well as bunch of Pre-Season tokens in the Star Forge chapter.

For Maximum Now & Later reward, do as many different unique combinations in Star Forge chapter

In the Star Forge, do as many different Moon Dusts and Star Powers combinations as possible because each unique combination will get you Now & Later pack rewards.

To track the combinations that you have done, in the top right there is a grid where you get ticks based on your combos.

Or, if you prefer to pursue Now & Later players such as Mina, Lemar, Fred, Courtois and Cristiano Ronaldo, you can choose to forging just 98 + 6 stars combination every time. You will not get additional Now & Later pack rewards using this method but you will progressing faster in the Pre-Season leveling tab, because 98 + 6 stars combination have the best ratio for Pre-season Tokens per Moon Dust/Star Power.

You can also choose players OVR based on your team needs. You can’t select a specific player. You will get anyone from the pool of your chosen combination. This is very useful if you still want to upgrade your current team OVR and need a spesific player’s OVR for rank up purpose.

Other tips

• Be selective on claiming sectors on Star Map, it might worth saving your Star Fuels for next reset to claim better rewards (1 million coins for example) in sector 9 or 10 instead of claiming on sector 2 or 3 that grants 100,000 coins.
• Try to go as far down the stem as possible before branching into the sectors because at the end of the map, there are better rewards for the same cost. 5, 10 or 15 Moon Dust all costs are 1 fuel.
