In Turin, Ibrahimović refined his talents under a renowned coach, playing alongside legendary teammates and making a substantial impact before moving on.
In 2006, Zlatan signed with Inter, where he won three consecutive league titles. Known for his incredible goals, he became a fan favorite.
Ibrahimović joined Barcelona in 2009 for €69 million. Under Pep Guardiola, he contributed to a successful season, winning LALIGA and the FIFA Club World Cup. After scoring crucial goals and lifting major trophies, Zlatan left Barcelona for new adventures.
Zlatan Ibrahimović joined AC Milan in the summer of 2010, initially on loan from Barcelona, before making the move permanent in 2011. Ibrahimović’s presence on the field was a major factor in his club winning their first Serie A title since 2004.
2011-2012 Season: Zlatan continued his impressive form, ending the season as Serie A’s top scorer with 28 goals.

Zlatan joined Paris SG in July 2012. His time in France was more than prolific.
Ten of his 17 hat-tricks were in the blue and red of the Parisians, including one four-goal haul in the UEFA Champions League against Anderlecht in 2013.
Zlatan scored 156 goals in 180 appearances, becoming PSG’s all-time top scorer at the time.
During his time in Paris, Zlatan won four consecutive Ligue 1 titles (2012-2016), two Coupe de France, three Coupe de la Ligue, and three Trophee des Champions.

Chapter IV: Global Impact
Unlocks on August 07, 2025.
Zlatan signed with Manchester United in 2016, making an immediate impact. He scored 28 goals in his debut season.
The FA Community Shield game was a perfect debut. Zlatan nodded home the 83rd-minute winner in a 2-1 victory, giving United a winning start under Maurinho.
In the 2017 EFL Cup Final against Southampton, Zlatan opened the scoring with a stunning free-kick and secured the win with a header at the 87th minute.
Zlatan celebrates the equalizer during the EFL Cup Quarter-Final at Ashton Gate. This was also his final goal for this team, a trade mark free-kick.
Zlatan had suffered a knee injury in April 2017. Though he made a brief return, he and the club mutually agreed to terminate his contract at the age of 36.
In March 2018, Zlatan joined LA Galaxy. He approached MLS not as a retirement plan, but as a new stage to conquer. Considered as one of the best MLS debuts ever, Zlatan came on as a sub in the El trafico, scoring a 40-yard wondergoal and a last-minute header to win 4-3.
First season in MLS: 22 goals in 27 appearances, MLS Best XI, and became the third player in MLS history to score 20+ goals in a debut season.
Zlatan dominated MLS with LA Galaxy, scoring altogether 53 goals in 58 matches. He left LA Galaxy in 2019 after delivering unforgettable moments.
In January 2020, Zlatan returned to AC Milan. He reignited a fading squad, guiding them back to Europe and, by 2022, to along-lost Scudetto.
On March 18, 2023, in his final professional match, a penalty made him the oldest goalscorer in Serie A at 41 years and 166 days.
On June 4, 2023, Zlatan stood on the pitch one last time. He bid farewell through tears and thunderous applause, ending a legendary career.

Zlatan made his senior debut for Sweden on January 31, 2001. His first goal for Sweden came on October 7, 2001 in a FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Azerbaijan.
He represented Sweden in the 2002 FIFA World Cup, playing a limited role, and rose to international prominence during UEFA EURO 2004.
In UEFA EURO 2004 vs. Italy, Zlatan scored a stunning equalizer with a mid-air backheel. Surrounded in the box, he flicked the ball over Buffon and a defender.
Over the next few years, Zlatan became Sweden’s undisputed attacking leader. He consistently scored on the international stage.
Zlatan was named captain in 2010, and his leadership, while unconventional, galvanized Sweden. He scored freely in both qualifiers and tournaments
In UEFA EURO 2012, Zlatan scored a magnificent volley against France, which was voted Goal of the Tournament.
On November 14, 2012, in an international friendly between Sweden and England, he inaugurated Friends Arena by scoring four goals, including a 35-yard bicycle kick that won the 2013 FIFA Puskás Award.
On September 4, 2014, in an international friendly between Sweden and Estonia, Zlatan scored his 50th goal for Sweden, breaking Sven Rydell’s record of 49 goals. He then added another goal to bring his total to 51.
In the UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying playoff against Denmark, Zlatan scored three goals across the two legs. Afterward, he said: “They said they were going to send me into retirement. I sent their whole nation into retirement.”
By the end of UEFA EURO 2016, Zlatan had announced his retirement from international football. In 2021, Zlatan returned to the national team at age 39, hoping to help Sweden in their FIFA World Cup 2022 qualification. His influence was still immense.
He played his final international match on March 24, 2023, becoming the oldest player to appear in a UEFA Euro qualifier at 41 years and 172 days.
