Several key attributes influence a striker’s gameplay, including Dribbling, Pace, Ball Control, Finishing, Shot Power, and Long Shot.
Dribbling is especially useful in one-on-one situations. A striker with high Dribbling and strong Pace can easily beat defenders and create space for a clean finish. Finishing determines how clinical your striker is inside the box, while Shot Power affects how quickly and forcefully the ball hits the net. Long Shot, on the other hand, measures accuracy from outside the penalty area, which can be useful against tight defenses.
Another crucial factor is Weak Foot. Strikers with a 5★ or 4★ Weak Foot are far more reliable when shooting from both sides, making them harder to predict and defend.
This isn’t part of the current meta since crossing and heading have been heavily nerfed. Best Skill Boost depends on your mode of play. Normally for pace and shooting its Second Striker and Finishing. But if u do more crossing and heading then what u want is Heading, Jumping and Strength(most important) along with Height. If ur ST is free in box then strength and height not important. But Strength is the key when your ST is marked by CB. Special trait like Power Header is needed if Shot Power of ur ST is below 90.
So if u r rarely cross and head then go for Second Striker and Finishing. If u r more of a cross-spammer then go for Poacher or Targetman. Larin 6’2 (Easter) and Vlahovic 6’5 (Golden Week) are two such examples with Strength of 120, Heading of 115-120 and Shot Power of 120+.
Recommended: If u play with 2 STs then have 1 Targetman or Poacher along with 1 Second Striker.
