Several key attributes influence a striker’s gameplay, including Dribbling, Pace, Ball Control, Finishing, Shot Power, and Long Shot.
Dribbling is especially useful in one-on-one situations. A striker with high Dribbling and strong Pace can easily beat defenders and create space for a clean finish. Finishing determines how clinical your striker is inside the box, while Shot Power affects how quickly and forcefully the ball hits the net. Long Shot, on the other hand, measures accuracy from outside the penalty area, which can be useful against tight defenses.
Another crucial factor is Weak Foot. Strikers with a 5★ or 4★ Weak Foot are far more reliable when shooting from both sides, making them harder to predict and defend.
This isn’t part of the current meta since crossing and heading have been heavily nerfed. I really wish they would give Isak an appropriate card compared to his play in real life. He was super creative with excellent movement, constantly in the attacking third. No way he should have poor stamina in game or lower pace lol. Also ADMIN, take note with the sale of EA they mentioned that they plan to use their mobile games to help offset the money owed for the purchase. That means direct impact to all of us and most certainly going to see promos like the Ballon D’or where it is all about spending.

Depends on your team and progress. If you’re just starting out, then yeah, he’s good enough to use. But otherwise, not really. His stats are too low, and he’s not even in the top 30 strikers.

This is just imo after using them I would say Eusebio/MVB close tie for 1 and 1a, Mbappe(anniversary), Cruyff, then Dembele-Pele-R9-Henry all sort of jumbled in there together. I use Mbappe and MVB, sub in Eusebio because MVB just works better for me in a 424. MVB just always seems to score lol

Yeah, that totally makes sense, and I’ve actually considered that. But I decided to drop the idea since I want to include more cards in the top 10 for each position to give people more options.
If someone like Gullit who can play in five different positions comes out, he might end up taking a top 3 spot in all five positions. The more overpowered cards like that appear, the less variety we’ll see in each position’s rankings.
Zidane would probably dominate both CM and CAM, Best could take LW and RW, CR7–Mbappé–Ginola–Henry–Son could all fit into LW and ST, Ronaldinho would cover LW and CAM, Messi could go RW–CAM–ST, and so on.
My take is, if a player is top 10 in one position, he’s probably still great in his secondary roles too.

Spot on mate! I honestly think the biggest thing is find players you like to use and fit your style. Most people just watch the cpu do everything anymore, especially once you hit 20+ wins lol so I just use players I really like. I have/have used most of the big dawgs in these latest promos. Dinho, MVB, Mbappe, Eusebio, Kroos, and Lucio have been the most impressive with Roberto Carlos not far off those guys. Dembele is good, still trying to figure out that cards play was so used to the Captains Messi. That may have been my favorite card this year.

How work rate effects the gameplay? (I am new player)
Work rate determines how often a player moves forward or drops back during the match. For example, a High/Low striker will focus more on attacking and rarely help defend, while a High/High midfielder will contribute to both attack and defense.
In short, it affects how active and involved your player is in different areas of the pitch.
Shevchenko or Gyokeres who is better?
Only thing I would change is flip Eusebio and MVB. I have used both in a 424 with Cruyff, MVB is just better all around and it hasnt even felt close. Eusebio is very good, but MVB is just such a noticeable impact instantly. I do think some of that is Eusebio being High/Medium so he tends to drop a little further into midfield, which Zidane ends up pushing and essentially trading positions with him lol. Both are excellent around the box, but MVB is a bully in the air and feels quicker, which I guess makes sense because his skill points are on acceleration and Eusebio is just sprint speed.

But this ranking isn’t just based on my personal opinion, I try to weigh a lot of factors like player playstyle, body type, stats, community feedbacks, and what’s currently strong in the game (e.g. cut-ins > crossing, pace & dribbling > heading, GK mostly about height, etc.).

There aren’t any standout strikers this week. Cantona and Morientes are too slow, while Lineker only has 3* Skill Moves. Plus, all of them only have 4* Weak Foot.
With top TOTS strikers like Ronaldo, Van Basten, Mbappe, CR7, Dembele, Gyokeres, and Isak, plus Aqua vs Inferno Icons like Eusebio, Pele, and Bale, the standard for meta strikers is really high right now.

He’s decent. He has good pace, shooting, and dribbling. But still, he’s not better than the meta strikers I mentioned above.

I think he’ll stay meta until the next event (Ragnarok or Defining Legacies) when player OVRs go up to 111. That will likely be the point where Cruyff starts to fall off compared to the new top-tier cards.

Sadly, he’s just average compared to the current top strikers, unlike his older cards.

Yes, he’s still solid! He was one of the top strikers before, and even now he performs well, especially with his strength and shooting. But compared to the newest meta strikers, he might feel a bit slower or less sharp in tight spaces.

He’s decent, but nothing really stands out. Ideally, you want strikers with 5★ Weak Foot. If they only have 4★, they need to offer something special to make up for it, like Mbappe’s crazy speed, Pele’s top-tier dribbling, or CR7’s strong physical presence. Hernandez doesn’t really have that kind of standout trait.

I think it depends on the user’s playstyle. Van Persie isn’t the dribbling type like R9 or Eusebio. He’s better at positioning himself to receive through passes and finish chances.
