In today’s meta, Right Backs need more than just defensive strength. Speed and positioning are what set the best RBs apart, especially when facing pacey wingers in H2H or Manager Mode. Players like Kyle Walker and Hakimi are excellent examples of modern full-backs who can recover quickly, make overlapping runs, and still defend solidly.
If your playstyle leans more toward defensive stability, consider using players with high Marking, Tackling, and Interceptions, as they maintain their line and prevent gaps on the right side. For more attacking setups, prioritize RBs with high Pace, Crossing, and Stamina to join counterattacks effectively.
A good RB should be able to defend and attack when needed, helping the team stay solid at the back while still supporting forward plays.

Bro.. When maxed out, James has better stats than Zambrotta….
stats only matter so much man. Dembele and Bale have better stats but Messi is better in game. The rankings on here are clearly based off of actual performance not just stats. Unless you watch the cpu defend for you then you know stats arent the end all be all lol. Zambrotta is much stronger and tougher to face, James is fast but can be easily shook with a skill move especially if they arent manually defending.
Is the 110 Zambrotta from league exchange as good as the 108 Zambrotta in this list?

It depends on your playstyle. If you like your full-backs to join the attack, he’s a good option. But if you prefer them to stay back and stop fast wingers, there are better choices available.

Both are 97ovr. TOTSSF Carvajal has defending as Skill boost while UTOTSSF version has Marking.
Problem with marking is that it doesn’t improve sprint speed

On VSA, many consider 3-5-2 is the best. The reason is because it uses 3 Center Backs and 2 CDM players to defend. And also most attack chances on 2 Strikers & CAM, where usually these positions are occupied by the best players in the squad.

In VSA 4-1-2-1-2 is also a good formation if you got good LB and RB like Roberto Carlos and Carvajal.
Coz den it will 4 defenders and 1 CDM to defend. Main Attackers will be CAM and ST. Some good chances will also be given to ur LM RM (prefer to have Sancho of SBC)
