Star Scout Guide (Extra Time)

Star Scout is a new feature inside the Extra Time menu. Here, you can reveal clues to find a Mystery Star player, then decide if you want to buy that player. To play, you need Extra Time Tokens: 06.

The new Festive Fixtures event introduces another Star Scout with Extra Time, using Extra Time: Festive Fixtures Tokens as the currency to play the mode and claim players. You can earn these tokens from Daily Picks, FCM TV, and the Festive Fixtures Trivia Time.

How Star Scout Works

When you start, tap the Free Reveal button to open your first clue. Then choose one of the six Clue Boxes and swipe to see what information it gives.

Every time you reveal a clue, the possible rewards list on the left will update based on the new details. You can continue revealing more clues or choose to buy the Mystery Player immediately with the Purchase button for 12,000 Extra Time Tokens.

You can refresh the mystery player manually for 50 Gems, or wait for the timer to refresh automatically.

Every week, Star Scout will feature a different team. For the first week, Liverpool will be available from November 27 to December 4, 2025. Based on the pattern, the full rotation is expected to look like this:

• Liverpool – Week 1 (November 27 to December 4)
• Real Madrid – Week 2 (December 4 to December 11)
• Bayern Munich – Week 3 (December 11 to December 18)
• Juventus – Week 4 (December 18 to December 25)

Tips for Best Results

Always enter Star Scout with at least 12,000 Extra Time Tokens. If you open clues but don’t have enough tokens to buy the player, your effort is wasted.

If the clues look weak and the possible rewards list does not show any strong players, refresh for 50 Gems or come back after the daily reset. There is no point spending more tokens on clues when the current rotation is already bad.

If the clues look strong and the possible rewards list shows great players, go straight to the Purchase button. Do not spend extra tokens on more clues. The only exceptions are when you already own one of the possible rewards and want to avoid a duplicate, or when you don’t want a player from that position because you are already stacked there.

Star Scout can be a great way to secure a strong player if you manage your clues and tokens wisely. Sometimes patience is the best move, and other times taking the g*mble early can pay off. It becomes even more valuable when the Mystery Player comes from an event you need for your Team Badge progress, such as 2nd Anniversary, Footyverse, or Glorious Eras, since every unique pull helps you gain EXP and level up faster.
